Data center CFD is routinely and effectively used for upfront design of new facilities and ongoing management of existing facilities. Are you an extreme perfectionist kind of modeler or do you go for quick and dirty? Two experienced data center and CFD professionals will argue the case for using the bare bones of CFD for maximum benefit in minimum time in contrast to all the physics (but all in good time).
